Corinth Baptist Church

David M. Turner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theron L. Turner, was born and reared in Mint Hill, which is just outside of Charlotte, NC.

Following his graduation from Independence High School, David began work at Ronson Hydraulics as a machinist.  At the age of 22, he recommitted his life to the Lord.  While attending Caswell as a chaperone, he answered a call to the ministry.  He enrolled at Gardner-Webb University, where he received a BA degree with a major in Religion.  His studies continued at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he was awarded the Master of Divinity degree with Religious Education.  He received his Doctor of Ministry degree at the Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY in the Billy Graham School of Evangelism and Church Growth in 2010.

While a student in college and seminary, David served several churches in NC and SC in the areas of Minister of Youth/Children, Associate Pastor and interim Pastor.  These churches include:  Midway Baptist, Gaffney, SC; Fairview Baptist Church, Statesville, NC; and Moore's Chapel Baptist Church, Saxapahaw, NC.  Following seminary graduation and ordination by the Moore's Chapel Baptist Church, David served as Associate Pastor at Northside Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC and as Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Statesville, NC.  He has been active in state and local denominational life.

David is married to the former Donna Ann Harvey of Charlottesville, VA.  Donna is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George S. Harvey.  She has one brother, David.  Mrs. Turner is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University.  The Turners have one son, Dean Jacob, and one daughter, Dana Christine.  David has an older sister, Diane, and a younger brother, Phillip, both of whom live in the Charlotte area.
